What the Display Shows

The display mirrors what the gesture engine is doing in real time, using a simple visual language centred on a circle.

Open palm: red circle​

When an open palm is detected, the display shows a red circle. This means Superhome has recognised your hand and is ready to act.

Air hold: filling white circle​

When the open palm is held long enough to become an air hold, the circle turns white and fills up clockwise as you keep holding. At the centre of the circle, a number shows the current step you are on (for example the brightness level in the cycle).

Release the gesture to stop at the current step.

L gesture: entity selection​

When you make the L gesture, the display enters entity selection and starts cycling through the devices in your list. For each one it shows the entity's name, its number in the list, and an icon for the device type in the centre.
